What is a Parent Advocate?

An advocate is a person who pleads on someone else’s behalf. I’m here to be an advocate and to motivate parents. We’re here to support you by empowering, elevating and encouraging you to be a voice for your child with special needs or severe disability.

It’s always the darkest before the dawn.  Having a child with a severe disability can be the darkest part of a parents life. In order to bring yourself out of the darkness, you must excel and become the best advocate that you can be. You must be proactive in your child’s education, social life and medical health. If you start with these three basics as I did; I can almost promise you the dawn will come.
